Olfactive notes are divided into three classes:
top notes, heart notes and base notes.

Top
Perceived immediately- they evaporate fast. They form the first impression a person has of a fragrance.
Heart
Olfactive notes that emerge as soon as head notes dissolve. They compose the central part of a fragrance, usually soft and enveloping.
Base
They are the last to be perceived: they can be perceived even after a period of half an hour, but are the ones which last longer than all the others, up to twenty-four hours from application.
